Frequently Asked Questions

What is HAUFC?

The Houston Area Forestry Council was formed in 1986 with the mission of providing a forum where different interests in urban forestry and arboriculture could come together to develop programs for enhanced community forests in the greater Houston region.

Who is involved in HAUFC?

Public, private, non-profit, green professionals, tree advocates, landscape architects, arborists, and foresters.

What is the time commitment?

We have the busy professional in mind, with only quarterly meetings through the year. Opportunities to get involved with regional workshops, training, and projects are also available several times a year.
